To briefly summarize Mc-Kratie-Gate©️, after Latisha made the request of Katie to get lost and to stop causing drama for Latisha and her family, Katie came for Latisha. Katie made public Latisha's criminal history, personal history, accused her of lying for funds, and encouraged those who donated to request a refund when Katie herself shared her experience with obtaining a refund from GoFundMe. In as little of two weeks, Latisha went from disbelief in the overwhelming generosity of humans when they donated money to help Latisha hire an attorney and to take the time off work and still afford to travel states away to see her son, to having her reputation tarnished, called a scammer, a liar, undeserving, and that she wasn't her son's real mother anyway so what does it matter (Latisha agreed to give custody of Marvon to her grandmother since she became pregnant with Marvon at just 15 years old). Katie had determined Latisha not pure enough for the grace and generosity of her followers. Katie then amped up the emotions of her and suggested Latisha should face legal consequences for the fundraiser, a fundraiser Latisha never set up or made promises in regard to the funds raised. I found this extreme reaction to be quite disturbing. I couldn't help but to wonder why Katie would respond with absolutely zero compassion for Latisha and her son, Marvon. To hear Katie speak of the day her own son almost died, I would expect an abundance of understanding and empathy from Katie toward any mother in a similar situation. So why is it that when given the opportunity, Katie seeks to destroy this woman? Marvon is in a coma as a result of a suicide attempt. Mental illness can often run in the family, and surely Katie knows this with her self proclaimed extensive knowledge in mental health. I fear Katie's actions, and the force and strength of her hate mob, could have devastating effects on a grieving mother. So again I ask, why is it that Katie is so determined to create more tragedy for this family? I might have an answer. Could this be yet another example of Katie Joy projecting her own faults through the accusatory behavior she exhibits? Could Katie Joy be telling on herself as she blames others for things she might have done? They say it takes a criminal to catch a criminal. Does it take a grifter to spot a grifter? Let me explain.... Katie is no stranger to Go Fund Me campaigns. The most recent of which was in June, 2020. To learn more about this fundraiser please check out this blog post I wrote where I break down the claims Katie made at the time she created the campaign. I also urge you to check out this link to view the reaction of her Facebook followers upon learning about this campaign.
There was also a fundraiser Katie did through GoFundMe for the Ronald McDonald house, only thing is though is that campaign contributors were asked to donate to Katie Joy's PayPal instead of donating directly to the Ronald McDonald house. Weird. But it is this GoFundMe campaign, still posted on the Wayback Machine, from 2013 that I wish to use as an example for my theory. Katie has stated multiple times that this was a fundraiser set up by a friend, and one that Katie Joy only agreed to have set up at the relentless urging by said friend. The campaign raised almost $5,000. How amazing that Katie knows so many generous people to provide this income for her and her family during their time of need. That time being while her son was incredibly sick. The child has, thankfully, recovered, with the exception of a totally manageable non-debilitating (when managed) ailment. Katie has been questioned about these fundraisers time and again, and it's something she often says about this one fundraiser that stands out to me. She informs the naysayers that this fundraiser kept them afloat during a hard time. It afforded Katie and her husband, Todd, the ability to later cash in Katie's 401K to be able to afford the construction of their brand new home on a beautiful large plot of land in rural Minnesota. Had it not been for the generosity of these donors, they would have had to use alternative means to pay for their share of the hospital expenses that insurance didn't cover, their mortgage, and other bills. They likely would have had to cash in her 401K earlier to cover these expenses and would not have been able to afford the purchase and construction of their boot-leg McMansion. She has often explained their reasoning for such a large home as being with her son in mind since she believes he will move into a make-shift apt in the basement of this home when he is an adult. Just recently on social media, Katie also went into an explanation on how spacious and full of toys the rooms are in her home, as she addressed the claim that her child is kept in one room for up to 10 hours at a time. Considering all of this information, I am left to conclude, in my opinion of course, that Katie likely abused the generosity of friends and family almost a decade ago, not so she and her family could avoid being destitute, but so she and her family could get a house big enough for Katie to still be alone and do as she wants. It's also my opinion that this was the intent of Katie at the time since as you can see here, it wasn't a friend that set up this fundraiser for Katie, it was Katie who set it up. Did Katie first inform all donors how she had been convicted years prior to driving while intoxicated? What if one of the people who donated was someone who lost a loved one to a drunk driving accident? If that was you, wouldn't you want to know if you were showing compassion to a convicted drunk driver? So Katie withheld her criminal history from the campaign, claimed to need the money to pay for hospital expenses and household bills, withheld the fact that she still had a 401K that she could borrow against because she was saving that for a brand new house and the construction for said home, a home that the child is now, allegedly, confined to, at times for many hours in the same room, that is, according to her husband, Todd. How very fraudraiser of you, Katie Joy. As you can see, anyone can write narrative. This took me only 25 minutes. Please consider that this is exactly what Katie Joy does every day and does so for personal gratification ONLY. ANYONE can write narrative, but not everyone is callous enough to do so without care.
